Fantasy notes for Sept. 28

"The final day of the season is the time to take a chance on loading up your rotation with as many starters as possible. Below are the best options that still might be available on your league's waiver wire. Best of luck and have a great offseason!

• Ted Lilly has some interesting numbers versus the Diamondbacks this year, going 1-3 with a 5.09 ERA, but posting a strong 1.04 WHIP and limiting Arizona to a .190 average. He has not allowed more than three runs in 11 straight starts, carrying a 2.42 ERA and 0.97 WHIP over this span, and he's tallied 60 K's in 67 innings.

• Brandon Morrow is finishing the 2011 season with a huge kick. In his past two starts (against the Yankees and Rays), he has tossed 15 scoreless innings, allowing six hits, five walks and fanning 17. In his lone start against the White Sox this year, Morrow gave up one run on four hits in seven innings.

• Brett Myers has had a season to forget, but he's putting together a huge September. He has won all four starts this month, which is nothing short of amazing considering how bad the Astros are. Myers has a 1.23 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in these four outings, with 21 K's and only three walks in 29 1/3 innings. In the past two seasons, Myers has quality starts in five of six outings versus St. Louis, sporting a 3.07 ERA and 1.12 WHIP during this span."
