"Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan received a nice wedding present from his fans.

While he and his bride, the former Sarah Marshall, went to great lengths to disguise their wedding, the fans helped him dodged the Madden Curse. According to The Buzz by Jennifer Brett, Matt and Sarah used the names "Kevin and Sierra" to throw off the media.

At least he can go on the honeymoon and not have to worry about the Madden Curse. He is officially out of the running to be on the cover of EA Sports' Madden 12.

He was "defeated" in the competition by Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis, 51 to 49 percent in round two of the voting.

All 32 NFL teams had one player represented. The voting is being conduction over a four week period at ESPN.com/MaddenVote.
