Family feud continues: Cecil Fielder rips son, has no plans to attend Tiger games

"Cecil and Prince Fielder are putting that whole "time heals all wounds" mantra to the test.

Last week, Cecil, the former Tigers slugger, had nothing but glowing things to say about his son, Prince, after he signed a nine-year, $214 million contract with the Tigers.

On Friday night, however, the tune had changed.

Speaking to reporters in St. Petersburg, Fla. -- where he was inducted into the Ted Williams Hitters Hall of Fame -- Cecil said he's disappointed in the man his son has become.

And he has no plans to attend Tigers games.

"As a father, of course you're proud of what your son's been able to accomplish on the field," Cecil Fielder told the Tampa Bay Times. "But as a father also you worry about how he is growing as a man, how -- I want to say this correctly -- how he is communicating with everybody that had something to do with how he got to where he is. And that part of my son, I think we're all a little disappointed.""
