Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez, who continues to deal with an injured toe on his left foot, is set to play against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night despite being listed as questionable.

Gonzalez participated in the team's walkthrough on Wednesday.

"We'll, he's listed as questionable, but we anticipate that Tony's going to play in the ballgame,'' head coach Mike Smith said. "He got an opportunity to work with us today. Much more workload than he did last week. We anticipate that he'll be ready to go.''

Smith also said backup quarterback Dominique Davis, who suffered a bruised knee in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay, should be ready to go.

"Dom has a knee injury, but he did practice limited on both days,'' Smith said. "So we're ready for him to go. He's questionable, but we're anticipating that he'll go barring any setbacks from today's practice.''

Following Wednesday's walkthrough, Davis said he was fine and ready to go. The Falcons worked out veteran quarterbacks Mike Kafka and Trent Edwards as insurance. Kafka stayed in the Atlanta area overnight awaiting word on Davis, while Edwards was sent home after the workout. Kafka could get the call if the Falcons find themselves in an emergency situation from now until the end of the season.

Rookie defensive end Malliciah Goodman was ruled out for the Saints game as he continues to recover from a calf injury.
