Falcons TE Gonzalez could be a handful for Eagles

"The transition from Kansas City Chief to Atlanta Falcon hasn't been easy for Tony Gonzalez. He's only made it look that way.

An Eagles defense that has had its adventures covering tight ends is about to get another firm test when the Falcons trot out Gonzalez, the all-time leader in every major statistical category at the position.

Considering the Eagles are third-worst in the NFL in receiving yardage allowed to tight ends, Gonzalez could be in for a big afternoon on Sunday at the Georgia Dome.

"He's a Hall of Fame tight end. One of the best to ever play the game," Eagles safety Quintin Mikell said. "But nobody is scared in this locker room."

They might not be fearful, but they better be aware.

Gonzalez has had at least five catches in each of the last five games, and his 61 catches are second only to the 74 posted by Indianapolis' Dallas Clark. Gonzalez had 96 catches last year and 99 in 2007."
