"The Orioles have agreed to a minor league deal with former major league left-hander Casey Fossum, according to an industry source. It's unclear whether he will receive a spring invitation to big league camp.

Fossum, 34, last pitched in the majors in 2009, when he appeared in three games and posted a 2.25 ERA as a reliever for the New York Mets. He pitched in nine games with the Mets' Triple-A affiliate in Buffalo last season and spent 2010 pitching in Japan.

A veteran of nine major league seasons, he is 40-53 with a 5.45 ERA in 237 career games."
