Jordan Richmond, a former Texas A&M signee and Denton Ryan standout, has enrolled at North Texas, a source confirmed Wednesday morning.

Richmond (6-3, 225 pounds) was a two-time honorable mention all-state selection at Ryan and was ranked among the top linebacker prospects in the country in the Class of 2012. Rivals.com ranked Richmond No. 26 on its list of the top outside linebacker prospects in the class.

Richmond signed with Texas A&M, but never found a role with the Aggies and was suspended in December 2012 after being arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

A&M spokesman Alan Cannon said Richmond was not on A&M’s roster last season.
