Kings coach Keith Smart said Tyreke Evans has the "green light" to be aggressive on offense.

But watching the Kings play it would be hard to believe that.

On a night when DeMarcus Cousins was suspended, Evans took only nine shots. That's the same number of shots attempted by Travis Outlaw, John Salmons and Jimmer Fredette.

And it's also fewer shots than Jason Thompson and Marcus Thornton (10 shots apiece) and Isaiah Thomas (11 shots).

If Evans isn't going to be more assertive without the team leader in scoring in the lineup, it's hard to imagine when Evans will be assertive.

"I think probably should have been more aggressive," Evans said. "I think I only shot nine times, something like that. But I've got to be more aggressive out there if we're going to win."
