"Kings guard Tyreke Evans sat out Sunday's 118-112 loss to the Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre because of a sprained left ankle.
Evans, listed as day-to-day, also might miss Tuesday's game in Washington. He was injured in Thursday's win over Denver.
"I'm hopeful, but I'm not really expecting him to be able to play the next game," coach Paul Westphal said. "But we'll see how he feels (today) and the day after that, and maybe he'll be able to go."
Evans was out of his walking boot and remained hopeful he can play Tuesday.
"It's swollen a little bit, but hopefully, it can go down by the game against the Wizards, and I can get out there and play," Evans said.
Evans has played all season while suffering from plantar fasciitis in his left foot, missing just one game because of that ailment.
Westphal said he knew Evans' ankle was hurt badly considering Evans has played through pain this season, even when he probably should have sat out.
Evans admitted the pain was bad, so much so he was surprised he finished Thursday's game."
