" Tyreke Evans might have the most talked about left foot in town.
The Kings guard hasn't played up to his standards while dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot this season. And after Monday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Evans said he was considering a foot procedure that could keep him out three to four months.
What happens next with Evans' foot hasn't been decided. What is known is Evans is coming off his best game of the season, a season-high 32 points against the Clippers.
If Evans continues to play at that level and his foot isn't bothering him too much, he plans to continue playing.
If he needs surgery, he'll have it. Evans said he has never had an operation for an injury.
But how his foot feels is a day-to-day evaluation. So there's no way of knowing if or when Evans could be sidelined by the injury.
"I just want to be healthy and go out there and play the way I know how to play," Evans said after practice Tuesday. "I just want to make sure everything's all right."
Evans has seen two doctors, including foot specialist Dr. Richard Ferkel in Los Angeles. Ferkel and team doctors cleared Evans to play, but the decision to play or rest has been left up to Evans.
Evans sat out Dec. 14 in Houston but played the next night in New Orleans. The game vs. the Rockets is the only one he has missed because of his foot this season.
Evans said he has been in contact with his agent, Bob Myers, about any possible medical procedures. Evans saw Ferkel at Myers' request.
"(Ferkel) said if I feel any pain or feel any worse, just give him a call and he'll see what he can do from there," Evans said."
