"The Kings might be without their leading scorer in the first game of their six-game trip.
Coach Paul Westphal said guard Tyreke Evans was doubtful after he missed Saturday's practice at Air Canada Centre because of a sprained left ankle.
"He's day-to-day, so he could play, but his ankle had some swelling, and he couldn't practice (Saturday)," Westphal said.
Evans turned his ankle in the first quarter of Thursday's win over the Denver Nuggets when he landed on J.R. Smith's foot. He finished the game and had one of his best showings of the season with 27 points and 12 assists.
Evans received treatment from the training staff and was in a walking boot Saturday.
"It was swollen after the game and in the morning (Friday) when I left for the plane," Evans said. "The swelling went down for a little bit. I'll probably be out (today), but I'll be back for the next game."
That would be Tuesday against the Washington Wizards.
Evans has missed one game because of injury this season, Dec. 14 in Houston, to rest his foot because of plantar fasciitis.
Evans didn't sound especially optimistic but said he would test his ankle before sitting out."
