"On Friday, Lee Evans insisted that he could line up in his usual spot as one of the Ravens' two starting wide receivers despite a nagging left ankle injury.
But Evans spoke before the team ruled him out in its final injury report of the week. And after Sunday's 37-7 thumping of the St. Louis Rams, Evans said he agreed with the decision to sit.
"It was one of those things where I could see it both ways," said Evans, who did not practice last week. "The goal is to get healthy, and we came to the conclusion that I probably wasn't going to get all the way healthy by playing on it. So resting it is the best way to go, and hopefully, we can clear it up.""
