Free-agent guard Evan Turner reached a deal with the Boston Celtics, his agent David Falk told USA TODAY Sports on Monday.

Falk said his client is happy to sign with Boston and looks forward to a fresh start with the Celtics.

Turner spent the first three-plus seasons of his career with the Philadelphia 76ers and was traded to the Indiana Pacers at the February trade deadline. It didn't work out for the Pacers or Turner, and Indiana declined to extend the qualifying offer $8.7 million for 2014-15, which made Turner a free agent.
