Eric Gordon won't be riding to the rescue … not yet.

The shooting guard had his injured right wrist checked out Monday but will not be going with the Clippers on their two-game trip to Oklahoma City and New Orleans.

Gordon, the Clippers' leading scorer, has been out since Jan. 22.

"He was evaluated today. The response was positive from both doctors," said Neil Olshey, the Clippers' vice president of basketball operations. "He's going to stay home and do more therapy. Optimistically, maybe by the end of the week. If not, we're targeting Sacramento."

The Kings game, which is Feb. 28, appears to be the most realistic target date at this point. Center Chris Kaman returned to the lineup against Minnesota just before the All-Star break, playing limited minutes. His minutes will probably increase on this trip.
