"Friday will mark the end of a three-week period of anticipation for the Hornets and injured shooting guard Eric Gordon, who was shut down for that stretch beginning Jan. 6.

On Monday, Gordon missed the team's shootaround and did not attend Monday night's 104-102 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, while receiving further examination on his bruised right knee at a location the team did not disclose.

The Hornets also would not say what additional tests Gordon was undergoing. He has played just two games this season for New Orleans."
