Eric Fisher will be the left tackle next season for the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid told SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber and others at the NFL owners meetings in Florida on Tuesday morning. According to Van Bibber, Reid stressed that Fisher played on the left side in college at Central Michigan.

This had been a question since the Chiefs drafted Fisher, who played on the right side last year, No. 1 overall last year and it became apparent left tackle Branden Albert would be leaving in free agency (which he did to the Dolphins last week). Stephenson is capable of playing both sides of the line so we wondered if Fisher would remain on the right or move to the left. Now we have our answer.

Moving Fisher to the left is the best decision at this point. Presumably he's physically capable of doing that -- he talked last year about his muscles having to learn how to play on the right -- Fisher on the left side is the best scenario for the Chiefs long-term.
