Ross Barkley was left red-faced after almost missing England's training session in Rio de Janeiro.

The Everton youngster was 15 minutes late for the team bus that takes the squad to their stunning training base.

The bus initially left without Barkley, but quickly stopped and waited for the midfielder to hop on board. It is believed he was met with applause when he finally took a seat next to captain Steven Gerrard.
Despite earning rave reviews for his attacking play, 20-year-old Barkley has been told by Hodgson that he must improve his decision making.

The incident was taken in good spirits and Barkley eventually made it to training with the rest of the England players, but delayed the entire squad.
