The linebacker is set to become a spokesman for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

"We have been involved with Tedy since before his stroke and we intend to go forward despite his retirement," said Timothy Sullivan, a Spaulding spokesman.

Robert Sheridan, president and CEO of Savings Bank Life Insurance Co., said his company is in the second year of a deal with Bruschi, with an option for an additional year.
