"Braylon Edwards isn't going to jail. But he also knows that he may not be coming back to the Jets this season, either.
Shortly after pleading guilty to drunken driving charges in Manhattan and accepting a fine and a handful of other punishments, Edwards left the building and told reporters that he would like to re-sign with the Jets.
The oft-troubled wideout quickly added that he knows that may not happen. Edwards and fellow big-play receiver Santonio Holmes will both be free agents when the NFL opens for business again, and Edwards realizes Gang Green likely won't keep both.
"It's just a matter of if we can't get both of them, whatever one they want to go with," he said of the situation. "It's their call really. If it's him, I wish him nothing but the best.""
