"The Eagles received some good news on Friday.
Backup quarterback Vince Young's MRI confirmed that the injury he sustained in the Eagles' fourth preseason game against the Jets on Thursday is just a hamstring strain. It is not a tear.
Young is listed as day-to-day and should be ready for the opener against the Rams in St. Louis in nine days.
With just 53 seconds to go before halftime, Young rolled to his right on a 4th-and-1 and pulled up as he rolled out of the pocket with a hamstring injury.
"I just felt my hamstring pull a little bit," Young said after the game. "I don't feel it's major. I feel pretty good. Hopefully, it's not serious. I really feel OK.""
