Dwyane Wade's ankle fine; Mike Miller still out for Heat

"Dwyane Wade regained his footing Monday, with the Miami Heat guard not expected to miss any time with the right-ankle sprain he aggravated during of Sunday's NBA All-Star Game.

Mike Miller, however, apparently has not fully regained his senses, so it appears the Heat will open the final portion of their schedule yet again shorthanded, when they host the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

Wade, who sprained the ankle a week ago against the Boston Celtics, aggravated the injury when he stepped on the foot of Utah Jazz guard Deron Williams during the league's annual showcase, done for the night with 5:02 to play in the third quarter at Staples Center.

Monday, though, he was back on the practice court at AmericanAirlines Arena, eager to pick up where the Heat left off, with 10 victories in their 11 games prior to the All-Star break.

"I'll be a little sore today, but I don't want to miss any time," he said after the evening workout. "It wasn't serious enough to miss time, so I'll be fine.

"The biggest thing was to not have it swell up on the plane. We did a great job of that, of making sure we kept the swelling down."

While Wade was keeping busy during All-Star Weekend, Miller was making a point of keeping off his feet. In that regard, he revealed he had little choice.

Miller, who took jolts to the head in three consecutive games before being knocked out of last Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers on an inadvertent elbow from Jeff Foster, missed the final game before the All-Star break, Wednesday's victory against the Toronto Raptors. He also was held out of Monday's practice."
