"In a city where nobody takes blame for anything, Chris Duhon said yesterday he couldn't argue with Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni's decision to yank him from the rotation.
In a mea culpa made blocks from the White House, Duhon told The Post he gets why he has been benched.
"I understand what's going on, and I understand it. I had my opportunity." Duhon said at the morning shootaround at the Verizon Center before the Knicks' 118-116 overtime victory over the Wizards last night. "Now it's time for other guys.
"I just couldn't get out of [the slump]," added Duhon, who sat for the third straight game. "I had enough time. I just didn't get out of it. I had every opportunity. He's got to see what's going to help them win in the future."
Duhon arranged a mini-tour of the White House and a meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office yesterday for the team, but only Al Harrington, assistant coach Herb Williams and a handful of others made the journey. Duhon is best friends with former Duke basketball teammate Reggie Love, who is President Obama's personal aide, or "body man.""
