Jonas Hiller's first shutout of the season and goals by Cam Fowler and Jason Blake highlighted an impressive collective effort by the Ducks in a 2-0 victory over the Kings at Honda Center in the season's first meeting between the rivals.
If this wasn't the best game of the season for the inconsistent Ducks (12-11-3) it certainly belongs on the short list.
"That's the type of game our hockey club has to play night in and night out," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. "It was a good one for us. We feel good about ourselves because we won a big hockey game.
