"One day last season Jonas Hiller was an All-Star goaltender for the Ducks. The next he was merely a spectator. One day he was fine, the next he was not. One day everything was right in his world, the next it all went haywire and no one knew why.

Hiller played one period of the All-Star Game on Jan. 30 in Raleigh, N.C. He got hit on the head by a puck but displayed no symptoms of a concussion. He rejoined his teammates for practice the next two days and still had no problems.

However, he couldn't make it through the Ducks' 4-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Feb. 2 at Honda Center. He was pulled from the game and complained to the coaching staff and the team's medical personnel he didn't feel right. "
