The Miami Dolphins have only been carrying 52 men on their roster leaving one open spot before they hit the NFL's limit. Today they filled it by promoting Jordan Kovacs.

The Miami Dolphins have promoted undrafted free agent Jordan Kovacs from the practice squad the team announced today. Bringing the rookie safety onto the active roster put the Dolphins back up to the 53-man roster limit having opened up two slots earlier this week with the release of fullback Tyler Clutts and safety Kelcie McCray while only signing linebacker Austin Spitler.

The signing of Spitler and the promotion of Kovacs come as the team deals with injuries to two special teams players safety Don Jones and linebacker Jason Trusnik. Both players are listed as questionable for tomorrow's game.
