The state attorney’s office has dropped a reckless driving charge filed against the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder arrested in December while driving 110 mph on Alligator Alley.

The Florida Highway Patrol arrested Yasiel Puig, who was allegedly speeding in a 70 mph zone near mile marker 99 in Collier County. He was traveling in a 2013 white Mercedes.

Puig was taken to Collier County Jail on a misdemeanor willful and wanton reckless driving charge, but the state attorney’s office has ruled there is insufficient evidence in the case.
