Arizona bats stayed alive as they hit three bombs on the way to finishing their first sweep of the season.

Bronson Arroyo did all that could be hoped for tonight, going 6 1/3 innings, and giving up only 4 runs off 6 hits and 2 walks. An argument could be made, though, that the Diamondbacks were lucky to not get clapt up, given that 5 of those 6 hits were extra bases. Arroyo was largely able to fool the Rockies, but when the Colorado batters could square up on one, they hit it hard.

The Diamondbacks jumped out of the gate all over Juan Nicasio, eventually tagging him for 11 hits and 7 runs. He did some how manage to squeak by for 5 1/3 innings, but after giving up 2 runs in the first, Colorado never clawed their way back.

Home runs by Miguel Montero and Paul Goldschmidt were the Sportscenter highlights, Chris Owings also got himself a trio of hits and shouldn't be ignored. Even Arroyo got in on the act, getting a single in the 6th and eventually coming around to score. Every position player got a hit, so the offense was well spread around.
