The Diamondbacks rebounded from a disappointing sweep at the hands of the Kansas City Royals to score a series-opening win over the Colorado Rockieson Friday at Chase Field.

After failing to put together a complete effort against Kansas City, the Diamondbacks were able to line up pitching and hitting. RHP Chase Anderson went six innings for pitched his fifth straight quality start, and the Diamondbacks had eight hits, half of which went for extra bases.
