"For the first time this season, Devils top center Travis Zajac practiced with the team Wednesday, coming back from Aug. 18 Achilles tendon surgery.

Zajac, who has skated on his own and with some of the Devils scratches and alumni lately, followed usual linemate Zach Parise onto the ice, the morning after a 3-2 overtime victory in Toronto.

Devils CEO Lou Lamoriello said Zajac won't be in the lineup until late next week at the earliest."
