"Travis Zajac has been cleared by doctors and skated in New Jersey the past two days, Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said today.

The center, who underwent Achilles tendon surgery in August, will continue to skate for the next week and a half or two weeks. At that point, if all goes well, he will start practicing with the team in two weeks.

"He has been released by the doctors. He is in town. He skated yesterday morning here and also this morning and will continue to do that for the next week and a half to two weeks," Lamoriello said. "And if everything is on schedule as it has been, he'll start practicing with the team in two weeks."
