Now that the Devils have agreed to a one-year deal to keep Jaromir Jagr, general manager Lou Lamoriello will concentrate on trying to sign goalie Cory Schneider to a contract extension.

Schneider is signed for next season at $4.5 million, but he can become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the 2014-15 campaign.

"Realistically and logically you would not make the trade that we did at the draft if we didn't have every intention of having Cory long-term," Lamoriello told The Star-Ledger. " I think that says it all."
