"The Detroit Red Wings announced Friday that goaltender Jimmy Howard will miss the team's next two games because of a broken finger.

Howard, an All-Star this year who leads the NHL with 32 victories, broke a finger on his right hand during Detroit's 4-3 win in Vancouver on Thursday night. The Red Wings said he will be re-evaluated Tuesday when the team returns to Detroit following its four-game road trip."
