Detroit Red Wings Recall Jonas Gustavsson, Assign Petr Mrazek

The Detroit Red Wings today announced that goaltender Jonas Gustavsson has been recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Gustavsson was assigned to Grand Rapids on Saturday on a conditioning loan and started for the Griffins in yesterday’s 2-1 win over the Charlotte Checkers, stopping 26 of the 27 shots he faced. Detroit also announced that rookie goaltender Petr Mrazek has been reassigned to Grand Rapids. The 21-year-old netminder made 21 saves in Detroit’s 3-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild last night at Xcel Energy Center. Mrzaek posted a 1-1-0 record with a 2.02 goals-against average and .922 save percentage over his first two National Hockey League starts.
