Jake Peavy put together his best start in over a month, but it wasn't enough for the White Sox in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay.
Despite allowing two runs on four hits and one walk in 7 1/3 innings, Peavy didn't factor in the decision. It was the 10th time the White Sox scored two or fewer runs in a game Peavy started this season, although the righty isn't taking any personal comfort in that lack of run support.
"I have been that guy, but when you're that guy you just gotta find ways to be a little bit better," Peavy said. "I could've gave up one tonight and we probably could've won that game, just couldn't quite do it."
Despite strong start, Peavy shoulders the blame for Sox loss
