"Although veteran wide receiver Lee Evans practiced for three consecutive days on a limited basis, the Baltimore Ravens are extremely unlikely to have him make his return Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
Evans is officially listed as doubtful on the injury report, and the Ravens are inclined to let him continue to strengthen his left ankle with an eye toward having him play next week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"I think it's an outside chance right now, for that," coach John Harbaugh said. "He's still working through it. If we had a situation where we needed him, he could go."
Evans has caught two passes for 45 yards and is expected to miss his seventh consecutive game this week.
Starting in place of Evans, rookie wide receiver Torrey Smith ranks fifth on the team with 20 receptions for 397 yards and leads the Ravens with four touchdown catches. He's averaging 19.9 yards per catch.
Evans hasn't experienced any setbacks and could be close to getting back on the field."
