After spending last week on a previously scheduled vacation, wide receiver DeSean Jackson arrived to the Washington area Sunday night and reported Monday morning to Redskins Park as the team kicked off its second week of the offseason program.

The Redskins signed the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver on April 2, and five days later begin voluntary offseason workouts. However, Jackson embarked on a week-long vacation two days prior to the start of Washington’s workouts. The Redskins, who began their program two weeks earlier than most teams because they have a new head coach, were aware of Jackson’s plans.

The wide receiver joined his new teammates Monday, however. Because the first two weeks of the offseason program consist of conditioning and strength training, Jackson didn’t miss any on-field work. Coaches did hold some classroom sessions, but the team remains in the very early stages of the learning of the new play book. So Jackson does not have significant catching up to do.
