"Jason Demers, who tied for fourth last season among rookie defensemen in scoring, signed a two-year contract extension with the San Jose Sharks on Friday.

Demers, a seventh-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft, finished with 4 goals and 21 despite playing in only NHL 51 games. He also played in 25 games with Worcester of the AHL, where he collected 4 goals and 17 points."
