"Eight Cowboys players missed practice Wednesday, including NFL sack leader DeMarcus Ware.

Ware was held out for precautionary reasons after suffering a stinger late in the third quarter Sunday and missed one play before finishing the game. Ware is expected to play Sunday, however, and could return to practice as early as Thursday.

Also missing Wednesday's practice: TE Martellus Bennett (ribs), NT Josh Brent (left knee), backup QB Jon Kitna (back), RG Kyle Kosier (left foot), S Danny McCray (ankle), WR Laurent Robinson (right shoulder) and third-string RB Phillip Tanner (hamstring).

Kosier is expected to play Sunday and Robinson said he expects to play Sunday."
