"When it comes to rehabilitating his injured right ankle, DeMarco Murray says he's ahead of schedule. The Cowboys star rookie running back had his season ended on Dec. 11 after fracturing his ankle in a 37-34 loss to the visiting New York Giants.

"I've been working hard to strengthen my ankle," Murray said recently in an interview with FOXSports.com. "I'm definitely ahead of schedule. I think I start running on [Feb. 6] actually, so I'm excited to get back there."

Murray, who was in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl, said he has stayed in Dallas since having surgery in December, working on getting back to full strength."
