How much would it take to give up your seat on a flight?

$4,000 was the magic number for Tracy Jarvis Smith, according to the New York Daily News:

"The plane was reportedly packed with University of Georgia fans headed to Saturday’s game against Notre Dame. When the crew realized the flight was overbooked, they started offering money for someone to surrender a seat."

Delta reportedly started the bidding at $2,200, but continued to up the offer when no one would budge.

The mother of three and UGA fan tweeted that she waited for the price to hit $4,000, an offer she couldn't refuse.
