Kemba Walker climbs the six steps from the sidewalk to the porch.

"What do I do?" he asks.

"Just knock on the door," a marketing man tells him.

Walker, who on Tuesday has been a Charlotte Bobcat two days, knocks. Nothing happens.

Walker waits.

Ten seconds later the door opens, a little Merry Christmas cushion hanging from the inside knob.

"Oh, my God!" Elizabeth Peeler says.

Peeler, 67, takes a second look. Walker, who wears an Under Armour hooded sweatshirt, sweats and Under Armour shoes, is still there.

"Oh, my God!" she says.

They were expecting a cousin from Hawaii. They get the ninth pick in the NBA draft instead.
