Zdeno Chara will miss his third straight game Sunday against Tampa Bay because of a lower-body injury. Bruins coach Claude Julien termed Chara as day-to-day. The defenseman didn’t participate in Saturday’s practice at Warrior Ice Arena.

Brad Marchand did not complete practice Saturday. Adam McQuaid dropped Marchand with a shot halfway through the session. Marchand limped to the bench with some assistance from his teammates. After spending several moments on the bench, Marchand retreated to the dressing room and didn’t return. Tim Schaller took some of Marchand’s shifts with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak.

Julien did not know whether Marchand would be available for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay. The Bruins are not currently carrying a spare forward. Providence is playing at St. John’s Saturday.
