"Finding a general manager is proving a little more complicated for the Bears than finding an offensive coordinator was.

The only known candidate the Bears have attempted to interview, Ravens personnel director Eric DeCosta, informed the Bears on Friday he is staying in Baltimore. The Colts and Rams also were pursuing DeCosta for their vacant general manager openings.

The Bears also were known to have a strong interest in Reggie McKenzie, who left the Packers to become the Raiders general manager late Thursday.

So the Bears are back to the drawing board, continuing to research a large pool of candidates that is believed to include Packers director of college scouting John Dorsey, Eagles personnel director Ryan Grigson, Patriots pro personnel director Jason Licht, Giants college scouting director Marc Ross, Falcons director of player personnel Les Snead, Colts personnel director Tom Telesco, Bills assistant general manager Doug Whaley and others.

As of late Friday, the Bears did not have any interviews set up."
