"Abby Sharp knows her husband, Patrick, has a giddy fan base full of teenage girls who wear his jersey and bring signs in his honor to practices at Johnny's IceHouse West.

"I just say, 'Oh, those girls, they don't really know you — they don't see you lying about and me getting on your case,'??" a laughing Abby said.

"I tease him sometimes."

They also don't know Patrick Sharp tends to sleep a lot, has an "American Idol" competition with Abby in which they sing or that Abby makes him watch "The Bachelor."

"I don't know if his teammates know about that, either," she said.

What everyone knows is that Sharp is leading the Blackhawks in scoring and is on pace for the best goal output of his career.

Sharp often is asked what has been different for him this season, and he often says it's because of the confidence he got after a great postseason last year.
