"David Wright, on the disabled list since mid-May with a stress fracture in his lower back, completed his first baseball-related rehab activity today, playing catch for 20 throws and then taking a series of ground balls on his knees.
He said he's scheduled to ride an exercise bike Monday.
"It's very little," Wright said. "I guess (it's something). It's part of the plan we've done all along and it's kind of the plan we're sticking with."
Wright said he will get a medical evaluation Thursday or Friday to determine how his back is healing.
In the meantime, his schedule of activities will roll on. A positive visit to the doctors could get him clearance to start working his way back in Florida.
"There's nothing I can do, I've done everything they've asked me to do," Wright said. "I haven't had any hint that it's going to go any less than favorable."
