A couple of off-day Detroit Red Wings injury updates:

General manager Ken Holland said Monday that Pavel Datsyuk is going to need a good week of practice before being cleared to play. He said he isn’t sure if he will begin practicing on Tuesday.

So Datsyuk will miss his fifth game in a row due to a concussion Wednesday when the Philadelphia Flyers visit Joe Louis Arena (8 p.m., NBC Sports Network).

Datsyuk, injured on an elbow to the chin from Ottawa Senators defenseman Jared Cowen on Nov. 23, skated for about 10 minutes last Wednesday.
