"As Darrelle Revis lined up across from Patrick Turner during Monday's walk-through, speculation about which Bengals receiver he would cover on Thursday quickly subsided.
Turner threw on a white practice jersey with the No. 81 on it in red. It's the number worn by Terrell Owens.
"I will be on him come Thursday night, and I think it will be a good matchup," Revis said. "I think it will be a good matchup with (Antonio Cromartie) and Chad (Ochocinco), too. They've got two great receivers, and we've got two great corners as well."
Though Revis has a more contentious history with the man on the opposite side of the field, barking back and forth with Ochocinco throughout a first-round playoff game last year, his relationship with Owens isn't much better.
Verbal jabs taken via Twitter and in the press have documented Owens' disdain for the Jets' third-year cornerback. Revis, in his own right, called Owens a "slouch" last year in a spot for NFL Network in January. He used the same adjective to describe Randy Moss in a word-association interview.
All of this is swirling into what has been a resurgent season for Owens. He has 62 catches for 897 yards and eight touchdowns, while Ochocinco has just 50 catches for 587 yards and four touchdowns."
