It's been a slow week for Dallas Stars prospects across the Major Juniors, NCAA and Europe this week with no-one in particular putting up a statistically strong week. On the bright side it appears that Alex Guptil is continuing strong and had a goal and an assist for the University of Michigan in the last two games.
Brett Ritchie and Radek Faksa returned from the Dallas Stars Training Camp in time to play a couple of games for their junior clubs. Both had a single assist through their two games of the week. Radek Faksa missed Kitchener's last game of the week due to a lower body injury. Gemel Smith played three games this week and he also had a single assist through those three games. After the disruption of playing in the WJC and then going to training camp hopefully Ritchie and Faksa will return to top form.
In the WHL Matej Stransky had two assists for the Saskatoon Blades in their last three games though they only won one of those three games. Mike Winther had a single goal through two games for the Prince Albert Raiders. Branden Troock continues to slowly put up the points scoring another goal to make it 5 on the season. He has only played 19 games this season due to injury.
