Chicago Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro is scheduled to appear at the Cubs Convention on Friday, a week after a report surfaced that he was accused last September of sexual assault. Castro has not been charged with a crime.

Cubs baseball president Theo Epstein declined to discuss Castro's situation Wednesday, saying the team will address the story "as facts develop."

Manager Dale Sveum said he's not concerned about Castro's mindset going into spring training next month, despite the allegations hovering over him.
