The Chicago Cubs expect shortstop Starlin Castro, who was under investigation by Chicago police this offseason on a sexual assault complaint, will report on time for spring training.

"We expect Starlin in camp to get ready for the season," president of baseball operations Theo Epstein said on Saturday. "We do not expect it to be a distraction."

Castro will report on Feb. 23, the first day for position players, according to a source.
